objects disappear when moving household
I often end up with an entire lot emptied of items/furniture/objects when I move the household out. Which is the right choice? Keep or sell furniture? I guess there is no way to regret the choice...?...

If you sell the furniture when moving, the furniture will remain behind on the lot.
You can re-download the lot if there's a copy in the gallery or in your library. If you built it yourself and didn't put it on the gallery or save it in your library, another way to get it back might be to go back to an older save from before you moved out your sims and save it to your library from there. Then you can download it from your library into your current save.
