Objects in Buy Mode Can't Be Deleted

Playing on Windows 11, tested with and without mods, I have all EPs except Batuu. Game continues with this error even after repairing.

Error: When I go to edit community lots, I am unable to delete objects from the lot. I can use the hammer tool to delete objects, but I cannot press Delete on my keyboard to get rid of objects. When I do press delete, there is usually some lag followed by the command not working. After I try to delete the objects, sometimes I am unable to place new ones. The object simply disappears. After this error, the buy mode function is completely unusable on community lots and I have to save/restart to attempt to build again.

    Hi @omgwtfitszee 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
