This just happened to me all of a sudden yesterday too. The mom cant interact with the infants in any way 100% of the time for me though.
@CrunchyPie821 Do you play with mods out of curiosity? I wasn't able to test myself without mods as the save wouldn't load without them and removing them and adding them back fixed it for me. Still not sure what caused it but I may update this if it happens again to me
