Parenting predicament: Play with toys won't tick

Okay, I figured it out - and I feel like an absolute DUMMY now 🤣

I had tried every toy in the game, but not the actual toy CHEST. Sure enough, after watching someone on YouTube have this issue, I gave them each a toy chest and selected “Play with Toy…” then selected one of the four options.

IT WORKED.

So if you, too, overthink everything? Just get the toy chest. 🤦🏻‍♀️
