Parenting Predicament task will not complete

I'm playing Sims 4 on my HP Omen laptop PC.  Plenty of RAM, this computer is dedicated to this game only. Recently switched from Origin to the EA App.  Trying to play through the Parenting Predicamen...

I tried to go to the bug reporting form but that page apparently doesn't exist anymore...
