Pet eye color option missing when randomized

Hello, 
I'm not sure when I started having this problem as I don't typically play with animals in the family but I've been having an issue where if I use the breed mixer to create a dog, it gets rid of the color options for eyes for me. It just sets the eye color to whatever the fur color is of the animal, and then I'm unable to select an eye color. This only happens when I either use the breed mixer or use the randomizer in the eye tab itself and not if I just select a preset dog from the menu. It also happens with cats, so I'm very confused on why this is happening. I've done everything imaginable to try and fix this: Repairing the game, the 50/50 method and updating my mods. I also have not been able to find anyone else whos had this issue, so if anyone is able to offer advice or something that could fix this it would be greatly appreciated!
