Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I can't open my simology panel without it affecting my game. When I open this tab it won't let me save the game in anyway or close it without ending the task. Also, profiles & relationship panels, are not opening correctly when clicking them on the sims. I am not able to see how old the sims are or their family trees either.
What happens when the bug occurs? the profiles and relationship panels open a grey box with some traits but the rest looks like it errored. When I click the simology panel nothing opens but it makes it so I can't close out of the game, save the game, or enter build mode. I have to manually end the task and lose all game play
What do you expect to see? profiles opening and being able to open the simology panel without issue.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. it happened after the last update before Love Struck and has not been fixed since. I have tried to repair the game, I have removed mods, created new saves, nothing helps.

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.
First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.
Test just your save game with nothing else added back. If that works, you can start copying back the rest. If not, check back.
You will need the following folders
- Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)
- Usersettings(.ini) (your event rewards)
- Custom Music (if you added any)
- Screenshots (if you've taken any)
- Videos (if you've taken any)
- ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
- Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)
Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.
All other files are recreated and not needed.
