Placing lots from gallery or library unavailable

Hello Simmers, I've been happily playing Sims 4 For Rent and been able to without major problems until a few days ago. If I now want to place a lot from the gallery or library and click on the icon it says "unavailable". I have repaired and updated my game, with or without my mods folder. Also it happens on all lots in all different worlds I have tried it in. What to do? I'm playing on a Macbook pro. Please advice!

    @JoSimmer17 Are you placing from the map or build mode ? Doesn't either work ?

    This isn't just about rental unit lots, right (just to be sure) ?

    Hi, thanks for your reply. I have tried both from the map and in build mode… and it’s all type of lots.

    @JoSimmer17 Does it give any further info when you hover over the icon to why it's unavailable ?

    Did you delete the localthmbcache file.
