Ok. Have you asked the creator of the mod for help? It would probably be better to ask them or maybe on a forum they post in?
You could move your whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop then load the game to generate a new one. Move over just your saves into the new saves folder then load the game and see how it is. If it’s ok then move over a few mods at a time and keep checking your game is still ok after adding each batch.
UPDATE!!:
The problem was fixed at one point but now it's just gone back to the way it was. It's almost like my CC has been contaminated or something since the mod file was merged with some of my CC. Initially, I had unmerged that CC Merge file, deleted the mod file that wasn't working, and then kept that CC out of the Mods folder - this fixed the problem. But me being an idiot, I added those files that were merged with the mod file back in, and I get the feeling it's ruined all of my CC.
I highly doubt there's a way to fix this unless someone has some magic powers and has a way. I'll give it some time but at the rate that I'm going, I'm gonna have to reset my game and delete all my CC. I don't have the time to sort through ALL of the files as 99% of it is merged and being a university student is, well, self explanatory.

Maybe it's duplicated in your merged files? Maybe it's conflicting with another Mod?- 6 years ago
Hello,
I understand about the merged files, that's how I found it the first time. But its the fact that the file is not there like I cannot stress that enough. The CC that I downloaded the same day as that columns mod is fully deleted, and even though it's fully deleted and it couldn't possibly be anywhere else (contradicting myself here but I will have to have another look), somehow the mod is still there. I just don't know where else it could be because I deleted all the CC merges I made on the day I downloaded the mod, there's no way it could've merged with anything else. still, I'll take another look. thanks for the help!

I understand but it really does sound like it is still in there somewhere. Let me know how you get on searching and if it's still an issue we could try a couple of other things but there's no point if the mod is still buried in the Mods folder somewhere. The best course would be unmerging everything and starting again. I appreciate you say you don't have time but 3rd party content can cause issues at anytime unfortunately ☹️
