prom glitch

why when my sim gets invited to prom and prom starts only his household sister shows up to go to prom who is also a teen but his friend doesn't pop up?

Sims are not dying in Neighborhood Stories
All the events are turned on, including deaths, but NPC’s are dying only from an old age. Also they are making and adopting babies, they are adopting animals, so I have a problem with overpopulation....
