I always have culling off, and have unlimited sims - I've never noticed any lag from it. Usually lag is from mods/cc or system specs. I have mods, but almost no CC. I will occasionally get rid of a not in world Sim or two, but I don't like culling at all. I turn off relationship culling too....my sims keep all their relationships, unless I personally remove them.
