random furniture sets on fire

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have al of the packs, kits and more
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? in gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? furniture sets on fire, from a light to a carpet, FAR away from any fireplaces
What do you expect to see? everything not to set on fire.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

  • @simsiren94 This isn't something I've seen caused by mods, but let's rule them out. There could well be something out there that I'm less familiar with that's doing this.

    Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
