@GednaaYou had all 8 sims in the same acting career? At the same time? Wow. I have no idea how the game would handle that. I've played the career dozens of times but never more than one per household.

Just curious, what happened this time? You tried a sim in a different house?

@PsychotpsHiya! No same house, just one actor, same sims and it all just worked! Mystery to me! Yes it was hard with all 8 acting in one household, TBH, so I'm going to test and see how many I can get in the career before it bites back again! I'll find out the limit. Determined now! I had to get more mics and chairs at PBP Lounge to cater for us all at the Starlights. We packed the place out! We still shall next Sunday after Locke Faraday's gig. We also get awards for music and Daniel gets tons for books he wrote (sims) years ago! Weird, he's acted his socks off but never got an award and earned a gold every gig he did. We have over 200 awards between us! No room for them all! I keep them in my inventory and marvel at how hard my sims work! When they're not acting, they're burning the dance floor at Discotheque Pan Europa. Daniel overthrew the leader of Spin Masters, Dominic Fyres. Ruthless? Me?? Hee hee! Haha!  Love it that you do that too!  how far can we take this!??  That's a cool idea, to keep breeding aliens with humans... so how long does it take to remove all alien traces?  :D. Meanwhile, back in the acting career...   So, I got 2 actors into the career.  Both got all the options for performing scenes.  Added a third, got him a gig - No Options!!!!    So it seems that you can only have two actors in the acting career in the same household, unless you want to skip the prep tasks for certain gigs, or choose a suitable gig that you can do.  I'm not a happy bunny about this.  I think I'll have to just put the two Best Actors into the career.  Kahana and Boone.  Shame, we never got less than gold at all our many, many gigs.  Well that's that established, peeps.  No more than two actors in one household.  In fact I think I'll start a new thread to warn people. And thanks again.  You got my brain in gear to do some experimenting. 🙂  

FYI... in case you're interested, in Sims 3 and 4, it takes about 4-5 generations. In the Sims 2, the alien gene is dominant. I took a family 15 generations once and they never lost looking like an alien.

That's very interesting! As I said, I never had more than one in a single household.  That definitely sounds like a game bug. Very good to know! Kudos!

You said you added a third and lost the options... does the same go for the first two?  The first two have the options but the third doesn't? Or when you add a third, does ALL of them lose it?

@GednaaWell, good news and bad on the modding front. I figured out how to change the Award show hours, problem is, it won't work on an existing game. You have to start an entirely new game in order for it to take. I can change the hours on the defined event, but once the event is on your calendar, I can't change it. It only creates the event on your calendar after 6am the next day after your nomination.

Maybe if I can figure out how to delete the event off your calendar, it might re-create it with the correct hours... I dunno. Maybe it'll just work after the event cycles through to the next week? Still testing...

Turns out, the Awards ceremony is re-added onto the calendar every week. The second week it ended up having my new schedule. It announced the award show at 4pm, but the host didn't show up until 6. I kinda expected this, the host is considered a "job" so I have to update it with the new schedule. Same thing with the fans crowding around the door during the ceremony. Have to change the hours there.  Once I get a good full test I'll put it up on MTS.

Try changing agencies. Different agencies offer different gigs. (And different payouts) "Well Suited" tends to offer a lot of movies. "Everyday" tends to offer mostly commercials and tv shows...

I've been modding a VERY long time. VERY LONG. Been hacking into game files for more than 20-30 years. I wrote a program back in... when was it... 1992? I cracked the Ultima 7 game files and made a map editor/viewer program. Been making save-game editor programs longer than that. I still have an old Ultima 4 save editor I made back in the 80's stored away somewhere. Have made hundreds of mods for Skyrim and Fallout... I even have a custom launcher program for Detroit on Nexus.

These little mods for Sims are nothing.

Sadly, and I don't know what's caused this, but I can only have one actor in the household now or not all the practise scenes will show up.  Couldn't get the romantic one again, while another sim was in the acting career.  So I had one quit his job (he's won tons of awards anyway and I thought it nice to let a younger member of the house to keep going) and my workaround until this is fixed (and I emphasise FIXED because this is not how GF should work, surely???) is to have just one sim in the acting career.  Yeah!  You bet I modded our pay up because of this!  Please, guys.  Please tell me what this is about, why this is happening, if it's by design, or a random bug.  I was happily playing 2 sims, but now I'm down to one!  This doesn't sound right or sit well.  You know I've removed mods, tested, done all I can, so begging for a logical answer and/or fix.  What's GF pack for if only one can succeed?  I know they can all walk around just being famous for famous sakes, but that's no fun!  I don't want a bunch of posers, I want hard working actors, which I thought I would get.  Sorry if I sound harsh, but can you imagine my frustration at this simple bug that's ruining the purpose of my storyline and whole game?  Thanks if anyone can think of a way to sort this.  I have only about 5 saves in my folder, clear cache, nothing that would impact the game.  I await a Devs reply.
