They do so indirectly. They revamp the mood system but do not rebalance the products. This involves giving more differentiated mood states (+1, +2, +3, +4 are all common values depending on various factors) as well as more mood modifiers. I value the added depth of the moods a lot, so removing the mods would be a worse solution than making the products more rare.
The issue is of course that getting 3 different inspired moodlets is fairly easy given the traits and interactions available in the mods I have installed. I value having these moodlets available, but I wish to balance them manually.
So this is why the solution must be to change the difficulty of achieving certain qualities. Thank you in advance for telling me how to achieve the solution I seek 🙂
