Hi @qfp14zqrf7ho you could try connecting with the mod maker, to see if there is any interest in changing the mod itself.

I find various mods may not interact with others, for example, as the sims have certain visual actions that happen as well. This makes it difficult to change some items. For example, I do have a tumbler that sits on a microwave (by Icemunmun, that you can 'grab drink' from) and that is able to be used, however, an air fryer has more actions that a sim portrays/enacts, so more difficult, I use one in my game as well, but have only ever set it on the countertops.
