I repaired yesterday but forgot about the cache file so thank you for that. This seems to have done the trick, at least for the most part. It seems to be an intermittent issue now, which i can deal with.
Thanks for all your hard work around here 🙂
- @crinrict I am having the same problem, but I cannot seem to find the localtumbcache file and I have repaired the game. Is there something else I can do?
@PrincessBrat2 The localthumbcache.package is in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. It's a file, not a folder, so it may be below the list of folders.
- @puzzlezaddict I found the file and I deleted it, but it still didn't work. So I went back and checked to make sure and it was there again. Every time I delete the file, it come back. How do I stop this?
@PrincessBrat2 The file is supposed to regenerate each time the game loads; the point is to have a fresh copy rather than one containing stale data. Deleting the old copy accomplishes that.
Have you in fact removed all your mods as well? If not, please try that now and delete localthumbcache again.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please buy a new shed and test on that.
