@diavolosims  You did post in the PC tech forum, and I moved the thread to this forum instead.  PC tech is for issues running the game at all: crashing, severe lag not due to mods, graphics or audio glitches, that sort of thing.  If the game is running properly but a function is missing, that's a game issue or a bug, depending on whether it's intended and whether it's working for some people or no one.

SimGurus don't typically post here.  This is a player-help-player forum, with some EA community managers posting too.  The few Maxis employees who do show up only occasionally ask for saves or related info or confirm something is by design.

Ah, my apologies. Yeah, I thought this forum was for mods and CCs; I forgot it can also be game mechanics/features.

Though, I hope anyone who knows about this can answer. This first occurred just this year, when before it was fine. Was there any patch note on when flipped/mirrored poses we see when randomising poses for household previews were removed?

Hi @diavolosims . Do you play with mods at all? Two mods by SimplyAnjuta stop the mirroring, and only one says so in its name, so I want to check that that's not that.

Huh, I do have one, which is CAS Neutral Lighting. Did they even bring up this regarding their mod? Guess I'll have to find a different mod that improves the lighting of CAS.

EDIT: I removed said mod and I still don't get mirrored poses. I think I remember trying to remove all mods and see if there's any problem that's caused by the mods I've installed and it still persisted; even cleared cache and everything. So I assume Maxis updated this.

But can someone else try it, please, if they still have mirrored poses when randomising for the household's main image preview.

Hm. Okay, I can confirm that for a single YA Sim, I get 10 different poses and none (after a lot of randomizing) mirrored another one. I don't recall that this was ever in patch notes, and it's not a feature that I (or some others I ask) ever noticed previously, so I don't know when it was removed. I'd suggest heading to Feedback (https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Feedback/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-information-en) and asking for its return. Another option is to talk to the modder who made the No Mirroring mod to see if she'd be interested in making its reverse.

Using the images in your first post will help 🙂 And you can note that you know this existed because there was a mod to stop it happening and that testing shows that it's gone for other people, and that it's not disappeared only because of a mod.
