    @crinrict I have played one other infant before the last update and everything worked correctly. It was a female, this was the first infant male I have played. I am on PC and I do have mods installed. Unfortunately my game suffered a grey screen crash shortly after so I deleted the save.

    The second one sounds more likely, traits and quirks being carried across to a child from early age up from forced CAS toddler age.

        Yes, all toddlers have come from science babies.
