Re: Cannot edit pre-exisiting sims relationships
I suppose its possible. Not sure how to remove that either. It's not a relationship issue then... it's a family tree thing.
There might be a down-and-dirty method of fixing it... it would entail creating a NEW Elsa and configuring her to be the same as the old one. Copying looks and outfits is easy. MCCC has a copy/paste option to copy another sim's looks and outfits. Then she would "appear" the same as the old one, without the mystery "father".
Try deleting the relationships first and see if it lets you set everything properly. (Make sure to check their ages first) If it works, you're golden. If it won't allow a certain relationship to be set like Elsa, then you may need to recreate them.
P.S. See what you did? Now I have to try that on mine...
Figured out an easier way to fix Elsa. What was happening appears to be a glitch in the parent's relationship. Even though their married, it acted like they were brother and sister, but only in regards to Elsa. If I set Clara to be Elsa's mother then Bjorn can't be the father. If I set Bjorn to be the father, then I can't set Clara to be the mother. Don't know why its doing that.
What I ended up doing was this... I took the family into CAS and then saved it to my library. I deleted Elsa completely from the family. I then used F4 to merge the family in the library with the current one. This gave me duplicates of Bjorn, Clara, and Sofia. I deleted the duplicates. So, I had the original family and then Elsa from the version from the library.
It then allowed me to set all the relationships properly. This will work, however you'll lose all other relationships with everyone else outside the family. You'll keep the job and skills though.
