Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
I had taken out my mods folder, and was still getting the error, but deleting the cache file seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you! My sims and their new infant triplets can finally sleep!
@rons_pigwidgeon Deleting localthumbcache is a step to take everytime your remove or replace a file in Mods. Hopefully that helps you not run into further issues! Keep an eye on Broken/Updated Mods & CC
