Re: [CC RELATED] Random Sims are shiny and have Texture Overlay

Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? 中文(繁體)
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? sims4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Except Toddler Stuff and Kids room stuff, I have installed them all.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During playing the game and use the CC skin.
What happens when the bug occurs? After the recently new update, the sims's skin(have CC skin) will be glow and shine like a plastic.....I will upload the picture and you can see what I said.
What do you expect to see? Before the recently new update, they are all be fine. Wish the problem will be fixed.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Before the recently new update, they are all be fine. Wish the problem will be fixed.

    @MiguChen If you're using custom skins, you need to make sure to update to work with the newest patch. Check S4Studio if they have a batch fix now and if not, check with the creator.
  • Hi! I've had this issue before, and I went to the graphic quality setting, changed the "sims" setting to "Very High" and it works. Hope it helps!

    @send2390 and it doesn't involve removing your cc. So it's a win win solution

    @send2390 This solved it for me. I recently changed from ultra settings to high on a relaunch of the game. I went into the family I was playing the day before and one of the sims was covered in white stripes/spots and I know it wasn't an issue with mods nor the cc (at least not outdated). I went searching and came across this - voila - I changed the sims to very high, problem solved immediately. I restarted for good measure but wanted to extend a sincere gratitude for you posting this! I would never have thought to try this. I thought for a second it may have been the recent change from ultra to high but thought, nahhh - that wouldn't cause one Sim to look crazy - apparently so. This should be posted under troubleshooting! Awesome 🙂
