@kittykouture23 When you placed the restaurant did you see the drop-down option to re-assign the lot-type of the lot you were placing the restaurant on as a restaurant? Perhaps you needed to do this step? For instance:

Also, since your lot is already placed, you could check on it's lot type in the 'info' area (enter lot in 'Build' mode from the world view) and change the lot type to 'Restaurant' if it currently has a different lot type assigned:

From World View click once on the lot to highlight/select it and the 'Build' icon will appear in the lower right corner... Click that icon...

Once in edit mode for the restaurant open it's info panel in order to check/change the lot type assigned to it...
