Re: Foxes in Da House

Honestly I just turn the fox challenge off on the lots I'm playing. I liked the concept, but in practice there were constantly wild foxes I hadn't even met yet just letting themselves into my house and running in circles causing my Sims to have routing errors, and no point in befriending them and asking them not to steal because a brand new fox would just spawn as soon as you did so you could never reduce the number of thieving foxes, only increase the number running laps in the house.

Leaving the fox challenge on the neighbors though does lead to foxes at the edges of the property and the chickens occasionally being scared by them, so I still sort of keep the fox gameplay. That's fun. Especially when my evil chicken sets one on fire.

I might get the "no wild foxes in the house" mod.  I think they're adorable, I just don't want them in my house.

(Although, yeah, I'm still sad that one ate a bunny I was trying to befriend on my lot on my first day on HoB.)

  • Taking the Wild Foxes challenge off the property is what I'm gonna have to do as well, because I'm playing a toddler in a grow-up challenge and the uncontrolled adults are too busy playing computer games and peeing themselves to befriend foxes. The foxes run into the house just like the "why is there a random sim in my house I can't make leave?" bug, and I notice in this new playthrough, anyone my toddler talks to on the street is automatically going to book it into the house to dance to the radio without even being invited in (because a toddler has no Invite In or whatever relevant social does that).
