@tinabeateriisdal Do you have anything you've added to the Mods folder? If so, you can find out if somethere there is no longer compatible with the game and caused your problem:

Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Document > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

    Thank you so much for answering my question! I have tried to delete the localthumbache but it did not work unfortunately, then I tried to delete some stuff from my mods folder but it still doesn't work, does this mean I have to delete everything from my mods folder? There is a like a error code that comes up in the message, is this something that could help finding out what the problem is?🙂 Again, thank you so much for helping!

    Hello again, I am noticing that whenever I try to play the game again, the localthumbache reappears in the folder

    @tinabeateriisdal Yes, the cache is regenerated when you play. Deleting it helps make sure errors generated the last time you played don’t continue to cause issues.

    Try dragging the entire mods folder to your desktop, deleting the cache, then opening the game. Does it load when there are no mods? If so, it’s one of your mods that’s broken.
