Re: Help! Why does my Sim's stove keep catching on fire?

Fires are common at low level cooking, especially if your Sim is in a bad mood and/or using a cheap stove, but this sounds like the Cursed lot challenge.

Are they tense/uncomfortable/some other negative emotion?
