Re: how do you transfer zip file to sims 4
@yorkiemomanddad Hello! You will need to unzip the files and add them to your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods folder. Most systems have a built in extract tool but there are also programs for this that you can download. For example 7-zip is a good one and it's free to download.
First, right click on the zip folder. Depending on your system you might see an option to open with or something like Extract Files. Open with File Explorer should show all the files though sometimes there is a folder that you have to open to view the files. Extract files or Extract all should give you an option for location, usually within whatever folder you have the zip file. I usually extract files directly within the downloads folder. If you're not able to get to the files, then you may need to search for and download a file extraction tool, like 7-zip.
Once you get to the files, you should see some package files or script files or a mix of both. Move only package and script files to your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods folder. If you happen to see any tray files, those need to be moved to the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Tray folder.
Once those files are in place, make sure you've enabled CC/mods through the Game Options menu. If you haven't already done this, you will need to restart the game after applying the changes.
I hope this helps! Please come back and update if you need any more help.
