Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
I have updated all my mods but I have cc from over 5 yrs ago, it is really hard to get rid of them as I have about 1000 from that time period and I use them a lot. Do you know of any way to auto update cc and mods?

There are no way to autoupdate as they come from many different creators. Best you can do is maintain a list with links where you got it.
So, I just realised that I still cannot click on my sims phone. Any idea what mod causes this? I have deleted all mods that have the word ‘phone’ in it but I still cannot click on it.
@jpkarlsen It has been a month now and I still am not able to click on the phone, also, my sims won’t do any actions!
