Re: I can't hire a butler

@Ilovenoodles16    Hello!  I tested this in my game just now.  I used my sim's phone to Hire Service and then chose the Butler option.  After that I got this in-game notification.

Then a butler showed up immediately after that.

So, to clarify, you did not get any of that in your game.  Is that correct?  If so, the first thing I suggest is to make sure you have an extra room with a bed available for the butler, as they will be living in your sims' house. 

If you have a room with a bed, then please run a game repair.  Close your game if you haven't already, then click  on your game in the EA app, then click Manage and then click Repair.  Allow the repair to run for all packs, even if you get a prompt that the game is ready to play.  Please come back and update whether or not you are still having the problem.

    Hi, 

    yes, that is correct. 

    I have two spare bedrooms (I created another in case the first room was the cause of the issue). 

    I have repaired the game twice but it still isn't working. 

    I click on the phone and then I hire a butler, but before my sims have a chance to hire one the task disappears. 

    It's a little frustrating but I am going to try uninstalling the pack and then reinstalling it before I play tonight.

    @Ilovenoodles16   That's very strange!  To clarify, when you click Hire Service on the phone, the action cancels and you never see the list of services.  Is that correct?  If so, I wonder if it might be an autonomy issue.  Do you play with full autonomy?  Have you tried turning autonomy off just to see if the action will complete?

    Does this happen with other households or just the one you're playing currently?  Have you tried testing it in a New game save?

    Apologies for all the questions, just trying to get the full picture of what's happening.
