@aflasch26 Lag can have a LOT of causes in-game. Just a few to check for:

• a really large localthumbcache file - try deleting that. You'll have slower load of Manage Households at first, but otherwise lots might speed up
• a really large Tray file - that's your Library, and you can move it to your desktop when you don't need to use it
• settings too high for your computer
• lots and lots of interactable objects on a lot, especially combined with lots of Sims
