You can just disable the auto-renaming after wedding. I am sure somebody can help who you find these settings.
You can almost all settings tweak in MCCC. It is a very powerful tool, and I don’t think that MCCC forces you to use any settings. I think its just per default on because most people take the surname of her other half if they are married.
- @SimmerCarl92 The MCCC mod has a sync married name option in the MC Cleaner section which can be disabled

- @SimmerCarl92 Click on any computer in game (within live mode) and select the MC Command Center option. Then, when in MCCC, there should be an option called MC Cleaner; click on the MC Cleaner option -> Sim Cleaner -> Sync Married Names and disable the setting
- @Idiosyncratic53 I checked there's no Sim Cleaner.
If you look at the image I've attached to this message, it's at the bottom of the list within MC Cleaner

@SimmerCarl92That's because you're accessing MCCC by clicking a sim; you need to access MCCC by a in game computer since it's a whole game setting, not an individual household setting
