@timawoodsssHello!  After removing your mods, you should also delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing.  This cache file can sometimes carry effects from mods.  Once you've removed the mods/CC and deleted that cache file, open your game again and let us know if the problem is still there.
