I have the same issue, do you know if any mods like more cas columns ect if I remove them could fix this issue? All I use on my sims is cc, and its now completely broken !!! Same as you described.

- Do you remove all of them, @Bronizzy27 @SIMMERKOKO @Thelmastudios? There are saved with the game too.
Rename The Sims 4 folder in your "Documents\Electronic Arts\" and any with the same name.
Clear the Origin cache.
Then you will repair the game through the Origin client.
Check for last version.
Perform a clean start for The Sims 4.
Always start an Origin game through the Origin client.
Test with a new, own created Sim if the problem is solved.
If so then you should update all of them first and test again in small steps.
