Same issue in my game. Even neat sims will pick the plate up and then put it back down. If I click the plate directly and tell them to clean up, only then will they pick it up and take it to the sink. This bug happens consistently. The problem wasn't there after the patch. This only started happening after CoL was installed.
I have tried all of the same fixes. The issue is still not resolved. My Sims do not have the option at all. Only 'Throw Away' appears in the menu.
Im also having this issuse after the update.
@HirakoKai Are you using mods ? Turns out for @battlescatt it was a mod (LittleMsSam AutoBrushTeeth)

This is mod related. Possible culprits
- Dont wash dishes were you angry poop mod
- LittleMsSam AutoBrushTeeth
Make sure you get the updated version of these.
Did anyone ever find a fix for this? Im having this issue suddenly on my 3rd gen sim. Never had an issue until I split the household this 3rd time. I don't have clean up as an option whatsoever. Only throw away.
I am, but i have tried it without and it worked with the mods/cc before I split the household.
Seems for the most part it was the Dont wash dishes were you angry poop mod.

THANKS so much!!! IT was "LittleMsSam AutoBrushTeeth" mod that did this to me!!! After I removed that mod, my sims began washing dishes in the sink again.
