Hm, good point! I have quite some mods, including mccc, wonderful whims, shorter teens, preteen, better build/buy, Custom whims mod, career overhaul... Maybe one of those could be causing random fires?
As for the the lot traits, I randomize those and for this lot I got Celebrity home, Geothermal and Breeding ground. Lot challenges are Simple living and Off-the-Grid.
I remembered to go in here and have a look because today my plants caught on fire!
I will try and see if different lot traits do any difference, I am quite fond of having all those mods in, and I did update them the other day.

I have the same problem. I don't have mods or cc in my game.
- @Liebeslottchen Just anything or while you're cooking ? What lot traits does your house have ? Have you tested other houses/Lots
There are a few objects that are known to cause fires (like fireplaces and other objects). - @crinrict How do you interpret bushes catching on fire to me cooking? Do you mean there's a bug that if someone somewhere on the lot is cooking, plants in the garden could catch fires?

Did you test without mods now ? You're issue could be different to the other user since you use mods. Hi, sorry for late reply! I wasn't able to recreate the problem without mods, so one mod must have done it
