For me I had to remove my university application mod, try removing ur mods and see which ones make the computers not work

I have this exact issue right now. Has anyone found out which mod it is? I have tried 50/50 and no luck and not getting any last.exception either!

I'm having the same issue, however it's not all the sims in my household, only the kids. I thought it would fix after aging them to teens but nothing. The YA can use them just fine, even visiting kids were able to use them. Not sure how a mod would only affect 2 sims. Also it was working fine before (like yesterday) and I haven't added any new mods. They can use laptop when selecting in while in their inventory but actually clicking on it does nothing.
@qgrk3wwrx5y1 I suppose it may be possible that the Mod has an oversight in who it tags for access or not (since the household children are not allowed but visiting children are)? Did you try removing the Mod and cache file to see if the issue persists? If you have more than one Mod/CC the manner in which a glitch shows up that is caused by the Mod/CC conflict is not always logical (for instance, a Mod/CC that has nothing to do with computers or computer settings could be causing this). The way to track down if this is the issue is to troubleshoot it:
SpoilerTry moving the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.- @SheriGR I figured it out! I had updated my mods but forgot to take out one of the old files. Works fine now.

@qgrk3wwrx5y1 I'm so happy to hear that!! 🙌 What a relief! Can you please share the name of the Mod per the request of @TheHolyTrinityyy and possibly others facing this? You never know, there is at least a possibility it's one they have. Also, when you say 'old files', do you mean that you updated the mod but also left an old mod in, or do you mean some other type of old file?
