If I had to guess, you're probably having a problem getting the alien plants. The metals and crystals are there all the time although you might have to make a couple of trips to get them. They don't necessarily show up every time but they will show up. It usually takes several trips to get them all. Just keep trying.
If it is the plants you are having trouble with, then you probably have Seasons. With Seasons installed, the Sixam plants are seasonal just like the rest of the plants in the game. The Fang Flower (Tentacle Tree) is only available in the Spring. The Glow Orb is only available in the Winter. And the Quill Fruit is only available in the Summer. Of the 3, the Fang Flower is the hardest to get since it takes so long for the tree to grow. But you really don't need it or the Glow Orb except to complete the gardening collection. The Quill Fruit is the one you need since it is specifically needed for the Age Away serum. It'll work for Alien Aura too since that serum only needs any alien plant.
Timing is also important. You have to be present on Sixam at the time the plants bear fruit. Just like in all the other worlds, the plants begin bearing fruit at 5 AM and have their full daily harvest around 5:30 AM. So you need to be there before 5 AM and wait until 5:30 AM before you start harvesting.
Once you have the Sixam plants, a good way to make sure you have them in the future is to plant one of each in your garden if you have one. Once they grow, you won't have to go back to Sixam for them again.
