Re: Older Sims having moodlets from Infant traits

@shelleagh I don't think the bug fix can fix existing Sims so I'm going to move this to game issues for troubleshooting.

I checked one of your households with a child (hope that's the right one and found one that still has a commodity (commodity_Infant_Wiggly) and I'm guessing that's what's causing the moodlet still.

I need to look up how to remove a commodity (bit short on time rn) but I do know you need a mod for it. MCCC might even just have them listed and you can remove it if you check the right section.

Would be using a mod for this be an option for you ? You can remove it again after fixing the SIm.

EDIT:

Cheat (only works with allcheats mods)

Thank you so much!  I've avoided mods, but this sounds like my call to give in. I appreciate your help.

Finally got around to some experiments.  Added in MCCC and an all cheats mod.  I can remove the playful buff from the wiggly trait when the sim has it, but I can't prevent him from getting it.  Wiggly is not listed anywhere in his information and can't be removed, even though he keeps getting playful from it.

@crinrict Me and my wife are having this issue. Every infant that has aged up keeps some quirks in the later life stages. We tried the cheat remove.trait trait_human_infant_element_selfsoother (also had gassy on another I thin

When we shift click with mccc and choose Cheat sim info and then Remove moodlet, it lists a lot of icons with no text beside them and some other with text. None that is listed mention any infant quirk. What are all those nameless icons?

We have the latest patch update installed. Please help, thanks.

    Best regards,

    Tobias

@Tobbepolarn1983t I'm not very familiar on how to find hidden traits with MCCC. If you use the SimsInfo mod instead, does that give you any hidden traits that could be a quirk ?

@crinrict I have never heard of SimsInfo mod, does that also shows and allow you to remove quirks and traits? Is this the mod you refer to?

@crinrict Yes I found that version after I posted. But how will I remove them with cheat? We tried a cheat code that I mentioned in my first post but that didn't help. What cheat codes should I use and how will I know the correct trait string to enter in the cheat code?

@crinrict Yes, I found the traits and the correct string to them so I tried to remove it. I will let you know if it worked. I took some photos with my phone, see one of them attached.

I do think this bug does need to be kept open as it is not solved with an earlier patch. These infants have aged up long after we did that patch update.

@Tobbepolarn1983t trait.remove trait should work with that trait name.

Unfortunately bug fixes like this are rarely fixing affected Sims or save games. All you can do is remove the traits with the cheat and you'll be fine. It shouldn't happen again.

@crinrict It seems to have done the trick. However, every infant that ages up gets this issue. But I saw an earlier post that you mentioned that EA was supposed to have fixed this issue? But clearly it still appears and I don't think this age up was the last to have this issue. So we have to use this cheat with every age up from now on?

@Tobbepolarn1983t How did you age them up ? I've personally never experienced the issue so I wonder what can still trigger it.

Basically if it still happens for new Sims born/newly created after the bug fix, then there's still an issue EA needs to fix. If it happens on Sims downloaded from the gallery or that have existed in your save before the fix went live, then you need to use the cheats cause those weren't fixed.

Someone did make a new bug report for the wiggly trait, but only that so far.

It can also still happen if you use fulledit cheat but since that's a cheat, it won't be top priority to fix (there are many trait issue with that cheat and I don't recommend it to change traits/age up Sims)

@crinrict The infants are born after a downloaded sim "combined" with a sim from within the previous generation of sims in the save. So the infants are therefore not downloaded and they are born within the latest patch. They all have aged up with blowing candles of the cake. Then she (my wife) used cas.fulleditmode to edit the sim after age up. But the traits should have been removed right after age up.

@Tobbepolarn1983t I just did a test and couldn't duplicate. If you feel you still have a bug, please use the thread in the bug forum. Should be on the first page. I don't know what still triggers so it's up to EA to figure it out.
