I have the same problem. The game had an update, I did it, and when I tried to open the game, the same thing happened to me as happened to you.  I hope they fix it. I use it on Windows.

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

Ok, I did as you asked. This is the copy-paste of the file (done with mods and old savefile in, just so that I can have all the "bad stuff" happening). As usual, I had to terminate the game from task manager, but it had been loading infinitely for like 5 min before I got tired of waiting.

This is an issue with TOOL and/or mgomez-realisticbills

Do you have a LE from your unmodded tests ?

Ok, I've just tried to get that file, by loading game with no mods. But I actually managed to enter, this time (yesterday, even without mods, I couldn't). I closed the game from task manager, but the file has not been created. Still, the whole game is messed up, since there's no CC in the entire game.

I then tried again without TOOL and realistic bills but with everything else... aaaand infinite loading and this is the report:

Use the Previously Broken mods and CC for many (not all!) mods that have no updates. Use “Updated” in the Broken/Updated Mods list for patch 1.117, but note many are not yet updated or cleared in the current list.

Writing here, in case someone else has the same problem.

After updating TOOL and BETTER BUILD mods by TwistedMexi, I've discovered the mod giving me headaches was MSQSIMS's Weather Forecast Cheat Menu. After removing it, the game is working just fine.

Vaalyah​ MSQSims mods are unsupported as she retired from modding. That one isn't available for testing as all her script mods were removed from TSR after her account was hacked, so I can't test it either. Thank you for the report, though! I'll add the info.

I think I had it in my SSD since 6 or 7 years, the original one, not the updated, that go hacked, so the file had always been there.
