Hi there, I use script mods too mostly Littlemissam mods but I haven't put them back in my mods folder yet. The xml injector I have is working as I get the test showing in the sims menu. Will have to see if she has updated any of her mods to work.

It looks like she has updated her mods on the 13th august I downloaded 1 the more servings mod and it works fine. What script mods do you use?

Previously, the only script mods working for me were UI Cheats, MCCC, Basementals, and Meaningful Stories. Any other script mod wouldn't show up or won't let my game load. However, last night I couldn't get in the game with something in my CAS accessories folder and I tried going through that folder specifically. As of today, no mods from that accessories folder won't let my game go past the loading screen. I will try to repair my game but the script mod issue is the one that's been persisting since the update.

Unfortunately it appears after Sept 4 patch script mods are not working again. If you download TMexi Better Exceptions it will pop up with a Critical Exception Report and will tell you the script mod preventing your game from loading. Unfortunately it will only tell you one script at a time, so I am currently removing the script in the report, rerunning the game, removing the script in the report and so on. So far it seems almost all my TS4Scripts seem to be broken. Very unfortunate..

iamzukooo​ Start at Broken/Updated Mods & CC. Use only script mods that are updated or cleared as compatible with the patch. XML Injector is cleared as compatible. 

6477cb4052910eed​ Please let me know if you find broken mods that are game-rated (T for Teen) and are not already on the Broken/Updated Mods & CC lists, which is updated about once a day. Otherwise, the list is comprehensive and specifically excludes mods that are not supported and should not be ever named here.

iamzukooo​ That's not this thread's issue. Please test those files in a newly generated Mods folder, individually (don't just copy the folder in). If you still have issues after that please make your own thread.

For me it was the chronically ill trait that was breaking my game!

Hello fellow Simmers.  I too download mods and cc, mostly from Curseforge.  I am able to use the mods that do not require scriptmods to be activated, and it works (slowly) to some extent.  I know with the change over to Steam, everything went haywire.  The expansion packs etc. I purchased (hundreds of dollars) don't show as purchased at all on Steam and I have to go through the EA app to load my game.  I've loved the Sims since they came out over 20 years ago, but I'm going to be honest, I have NEVER been able to play the game with or without mods completely ever. It's like setting up the pieces on a board game and then ripping it all down before you get to play.  To me, the Sims has just become a game where you can see how far you can play until it crashes again.  I wish you all the best of luck and I hope we are able to solve some of these issues, because I don't think EA ever will.
