i updated my game 2 days ago and when i opened it, it look like this, not a single button is working, i cant even close the game until i shutdown my laptop completely. i dont think i have UI mods to cause this. this is mod issue because after opening the game right after the update it was normal but i after i changed the settings it became like this and now i cant open the menu bar.

this is absolutely inexcusable! I have paid a lot of money on this game and I can’t even play it! Why is there no means of getting tech support? I have tried for the past three days and nothing! I’m sure you are just as upset about this as I am. If you find out anything please let me know. Thank you!
I'm having the same issue!! I have also updated all my mods so they are up to date, I'm almost at the point of removing and then adding back in each subfolder I have back into my mods folder to try and figure out where the issue is stemming from :(
OKAY I HAVE A SOLUTION, at least it worked with me, what I did was I took everything out of my mods folder (apart from my resource file) and then slowly added in my main folders into the mods folder (I opened the game after adding 2-4 folders to ensure the game was still loading properly) and then after I added all the folders back into my mods folder, this issue disappeared (I did not change any versions or files just simply took them out then added them back in). I'm not sure if this would be the same for you, but it's worth trying!! Hopefully it works for you! :)
do u have any custom menu screens/overrides? that was the problem for me!
I’m so glad that you were able to fix it! I do apologize I am not tech or computer savvy. Could you please explain more in detail about what you did? When you removed the mods folder where did you put it or did you delete all of them and have to re-download all of them?

n8s0aq006vjf Mods you don't think of as UI mods can have UI elements that cause this. All Scenarios is one example. See the lists.
Sorry for the late reply, i just simply moved the files into another folder (for example out of the 'mods' folder and into my computers 'documents' fodler), and then added them back in one at a time :)
hello. i finally found my issue after doing 50/50. it was thepancake1's more column and more traits. these 2 mod completely broke my game. i noticed that i had the dupe of them both. i deleted it and my game workd fine. also remember to update them. goodluck :)
