I found the answer by moving around the furniture and I think the problem might have been that the gap between the bed and the door was too small to walk through haha

@rgknz1903 Hello! I'm glad you figured that out. That is an example of a routing failure, meaning something is in the way causing the sim to not have a proper route to whatever it is they're trying to do. It can happen really easily if you ever use the moveobjects cheat but even when you place something normally and have that green box, your sims may not actually be able to get around to it. I try to make sure there is at least one tile between objects to make sure sims have enough room to walk through and around. Have fun playing!
