WestDiamo I've pulled you out to your own topic.
Please do these exact steps and tell me what happens:
- Rename the Mods folder (I find it helps me to keep organized if I also drag it to the desktop).
- Delete the file called localthumbcache.
- Test again in your save. (You can exit without saving.) Test in your regular household. Tell me what happens.
- Now test in a new household. Tell me what happens.
- Now exit to the Main Menu without saving. Start at "New" to test again. Tell me what happens.

I'm still getting infinite loading screen for Step 3. Step 4 loading in new household still getting loading screen and Step 5 starting "new" worked.

1. For step 4, was that a household you ever played before? Did they have any custom food, custom careers (including school), or custom Dynasty ideals?
2. If you put your mods back in the new folder, can you load a household in a new save?- WestDiamo15 hours agoNew Novice
1. Yes I’ve played that household many of times and yes a custom career and I use custom food like icemunmun mods, insimnia mods, Littlbow mods as well.
2. I put my mods in the new folder and still no luck with loading into household with new save WestDiamo Okay. So, you have two things possible going on, one in general and one that can affect testing.
Thing 1: Outdated/broken mods commonly block household loading. Start in Previously Broken mods and CC and the current Broken and Updated Mods and CC thread. Remove everything listed outright broken. Update what needs updating. Most custom careers don't cause an issue when removed, but make sure that for any freelance/gigs careers, you're on the most recent version. If it's been quite a while since you played, check script mods (mods with a .ts4script file) in particular to make sure you're on the current version - many have needed updating since last August specifically for household loading problems.
Thing 2: Food mods have extra steps for removing them (including for testing) or they'll block household loading. Use Build/Buy mode to open lots and delete plates of food from surfaces. This should help with testing. Using a new save with also help with testing.Introduce mods gradually into your Mods folder. I'd suggest for you, start with food mods. After that, careers that aren't listed in Previously Broken. Make sure you're on the current version. Use your new save that you didn't play in for testing.
