To be specific, delete the file called "localthumbcache". Also, are you using the Curseforge app or the one called Sims 4 Mod Manager? That second one might be a cause of problems depending on your settings. I would suggest getting support from its creator. In general, I don't recommend using outside apps to reorganize your Mods folder, and definitely don't let one rename files.
