I am not using mods but I did figure it out. I added a second microphone and the host finally started going to it. I did also finally complete my aspiration of getting an award.

Fantastic! I forgot to ask if the lot had been changed/remodeled in any way. The trick of a second microphone is brilliant and so simple.
