Re: The MODS folder is gone!

@Itagirl  You're looking at the installed files, as in, what Origin places on your hard drive.  Mods go in the Sims 4 user folder, the one that holds user data, and that's in Documents\Electronic Arts.  You do need to start the game once for that folder to appear.

@puzzlezaddict Hi me again i had done everything you said i had to do to have that folder in my external drive and it worked until i deleted the original folder my symbolic link was attached to and now the game won't download that folder again.

@_Manou1996_  If you were using the symbolic link and you deleted it, you now need to recreate it.  Make sure there isn't already a Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, or you won't be able to create the symbolic link in the same location.

Or if you prefer, you could move the Sims 4 folder from your external to the internal drive again.  It's your choice.

@_Manou1996_  Uninstalling and reinstalling the game has nothing to do with this.  Launching the game will create a "The Sims 4" folder, not a symbolic link, in Documents > Electronic Arts.  If the game doesn't even open, please let me know.

Otherwise, do you remember where you stored your data, for example on an external drive or on a secondary internal drive?  If you're not sure, you can search your computer.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter Slot_ in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This should find any saves on your computer.  If you do find one that's not in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, please click on it and then click "Open file location," which will take you to where that file is.  List the full file path here, which you can see in the address bar above the list of files and folders.

You can also search any external drives you have, either in the same way as above (but click on the drive's name instead of "This PC"), or just by looking through the drive's folders.
