Re: Time keeps passing, Sims keep stalling.

Sometimes this can just be a matter of taxing your computing resources too hard. Try this to test that: Delete the file called options.ini so that your game options revert to the default. Then start a New save from the Main Menu and put a Sim in a basic lot in a base game world. Do you have issues then?

    Hello!

Apologies for the late reply 🙏🏾

Once I've deleted the file and followed your instructions, if it all goes according to plan, can i then resume playing with my previous saves?

    Thanks in advance

@ToKiHyou Sorry, just got back! You can definitely then retest a previous save to see if you still have the issue. If you do, we can look at other possibilities.

@luthienrising I've finally got a chance to try it and it works so much better!

Thank you so much (SUPER HAPPY!)

    Imma go sim now,

Awesome! Glad that worked! If you decide to change default settings in Options again, try them more gradually 🙂

    Hi @luthienrising

it's me again, actually, it stopped lagging the first time i played with it and now it is back to both my sims lagging and everything else around them mobing as normal,

    Any other suggestions perhaps? 🥲🥲

Does it happen only for that household? If you load a different household, do they work normally?

@luthienrising I've played with another family and besides not seeing the usual time-loop (for how long an activity would take, like say eating a plate etc) everything else seems normal and at regular speed with no lagging.

Okay, next thing to try! If you move that household to another lot, are they okay?

@luthienrising... I moved my family to another household and there nothing is lagging (so they are working perfectly) 🥲🥲🥲

I am not ready to lose my house to be honest with you, like the amount of work and all it has in it between collections and all. I feel like I am gonna cry.

Is there a way i can move the lot to another lot in another world perhaps, with the family as well. The only problem with that is probably that all the collections will not belong to them right?

    Thanks in advance 🥹

Save the lot to the Library. You can then place it elsewhere. I don't know if collected objects transfer, but if your household members have previously collected the objects, I'm pretty sure that's info attached to them, not the building or the objects (I don't generally use this aspect of gameplay, though). I don't think you have to still own them. It's also possible that part of your problem is how much interactable stuff exists on the lot.

Are the plants planted? They may transfer with the lot. But yes, every interactable object on a lot adds up to the constant calculations the game is making. A huge lot stuffed with interactable objects will be harder to handle for many players' computers.
