@1tvluj7cdbze Did you test with only newly downloaded mods and custom content, in a new Mods folder? If not, please do so now: Move the existing Mods folder to the desktop, then load the game to create a new folder, and quit. Download a fresh copy of one mod confirmed compatible with patch 1.96 and see whether it works. Let me know, and we can go from there.
@puzzlezaddict trying that now, but what counts as newly downloaded? could it be something i previously had and redownloaded? i am just going to download something completely new, but i just wanted to know.
@puzzlezaddict it worked! i downloaded an infant cc, made a new mods folder, and added the new cc into the new mods folder, and i was able to open my game! what should we do now?
@1tvluj7cdbze By newly downloaded, I meant just a freshly-downloaded copy of any file, whether you'd used it before or not. Now that you've established that a new file works in a new Mods folder, you can try moving some of your previous files to the new folder too. If they don't work, you'll need to download fresh copies.
Keep in mind that some of your current copies may be fine while others are corrupted, so test everything at least once. (You can do so in batches rather than individually.) Please also keep in mind that some of the content you normally use may be outdated, so if fresh copies don't work, you'll need to wait for updates.

@puzzlezaddict hello again! sorry to bother but the same error is happening. i've been using the method we went over but it isn't working anymore. the mods/cc i'm using are not broken according to a mod detector. i've tried all types of mods such as hairs, furniture, infant cc, mods like wonderful whims, and some of lumpinou's updated mods. none of them worked. please help!!
@1tvluj7cdbze Are mods that were previously working, after the patch and pack were released, now causing errors? Or have you added more mods and custom content that are supposed to be working, and those are causing the errors? What I'm asking is essentially whether you installed any files that worked initially (after our troubleshooting) but stopped working, or certain newly-downloaded files that are giving you trouble as soon as you add them.
Please don't apologize for asking more questions, and you're absolutely not bothering me.
@puzzlezaddict thank you for your kindness! i added more mods and cc that shouldve worked and weren't working. the files that i download while we were working to find the problem were working fine, then i tried downloading other things and now i still get the errors with mods installed. i'll try seeing if doing what we did before works.
SO i think i found my problem!! i had a lot of different folders to organize my cc, so after i sent the msg i tried what we did before which didnt help as much this time, however i deleted my organization folders and redownload some stuff, and it WORKED!! i'm so happy rn 🙂! if this happens again i know what to do now!
