Re: Won’t let me build a ceiling and my “room

@oDreahms Please retrace the room area that is not being seen as a room by the game (as indicated by you clicking on a wall in the room and the whole room highlights, as you mentioned. Use the wall tool to retrace all of the walls in the room, and when you get to the last wall (connecting it back to the point you began) it should do the thump and acknowledge the area as a room again. I would do this with MOO off. (There are illustrations and screenshots at the link if you need them.)

Next, to rebuild your ceiling:
1. Click a wall on the room. The room should highlight.
2. Use the ▲ arrow to go up a floor/level.
3. If the ceiling is missing there will be a yellow rim around the ceiling of the room below.
4. Click the yellow rim and there will be a popup that says “Build Ceiling”.
5. Click the phrase “Build Ceiling” and the ceiling will be created by the game.

Please let me know if this fixes the issue or you need further assistance. 🤞

  • Hi there, just tried this and it wasn't of any help nor can I find answers elsewhere

The yellow highlighted area simply does not show up at all.

@nakotacola Did you try going to the link to also view screenshots of the process? When you click the room wall does the whole room highlight or just the one wall? If the whole room doesn't highlight when you click one of it's walls, you may be dealing with an incomplete room... one that the game is not seeing as a room. If this is the case, try retracing all of the walls on the room with the wall tool until you get all the way back to connect to where you began. You should then hear a faint 'thunk' sound, and see a faint dust animation to tell you the room has been made. This will likely create the ceiling automatically, but if it doesn't, click one wall to confirm that the game then highlights the entire room, and try again on the 'build a ceiling' process.

If worse comes to worse you can copy the entire room and go up a level and paste it exactly above it (or draw an exact copy exactly above it in the floor above), then confirm that the floor for the room above has closed the room below with it's floor, then delete the walls and the ceiling of that room on the floor above if you don't want a room up there.
