@MagpieMorrigan Could you list the books that didn't work ? Does it matter which one you try or does it vary ?
The rule of thumb for new vs old thread is that if the lasts post is older than about a year, make a new thread. There are a few threads that are collection threads (usually marked as such) where all stuff goes in, they usually have current traffic though.
Big exception to this rule is the bug forum. In the bug forum the rule is that if there is a thread has a template filled out (threads from around 2017) and the thread isn't marked as [FIXED] or [ARCHIVED], use that thread.
It varies.
