Resetting stuck NPC?

Hi everyone, I was playing The Sims 4 earlier and had an issue with some of the townies getting stuck when other kids were on the climbing frame in the park. I did the cheat reset_sim * which apparently resets all the sims and it worked. But I’m worrying now that it means I’ve messed around with the townies. Does it just reset their position? Do I need to re-install the game? Thanks.

    @ShadowBramble  It only resets the sims' positions and empties their action queues.  You don't need to start a new save.  You probably don't even need to save/quit/reload the save, but that's always a good idea if you're seeing performance issues in general.

    @puzzlezaddict Thank you so much for the help. Will the townies queues of actions be replenished or after cancelling their actions due to the reset, will it affect the automatic routing? I appreciate you. 🙏

    @ShadowBramble  The townies should start doing actions again very soon if not immediately.  When they have no action assigned, the game will quickly find something for them to do just as it would under any other circumstance.  There's nothing else you need to do in this situation, and you can freely use the cheat whenever you think it's appropriate.
